The Big Reveal!

In our PBL unit this week, we learnt all about animals and their water environments. We thought about ways in which to design a wet environment for animals that is effective and also helps the environment, remembering that just like humans need water, so do animals. We discussed what we would need in order to create a real aquarium ecosystem, during this time the students had no idea about our new class pet. After an in depth discussion we revealed the surprise! Every student wrote their name suggestion down for our class pet fish on a little bit of paper. After careful viewing of every name suggestion, Mrs Brownlee and I are very excited to announce that 2BV's class pet fishy will be called 'Finns'.

  1. What a fantastic name for a fish - Finns. Cassie has fish at home as well. The gold one is called Spongebob.

    1. Hello Cassie's mum, Thanks for commenting about our cute fish Finns. We all think Spongebob is a pretty cool name for a fish. What type of fish is Spongebob? From 2BV.

  2. I love the colours of the new pet fish and his name is very cool. What kind of fish is he and will he eventually have a friend join him in the bowl?

  3. Hi Angus' mum, We loved your comment about Finns. Finns is a Siamese Fighting Fish. Unfortunately, he won't have a friend to join him in the fish bowl because he is a Fighting Fish and they will fight each other. From 2BV.

  6. That sounds like a good idea, just having one fish, wouldn't want them fighting! Do each of the kids in 2BV take a turn to feed Finns? I don't think he will be lonely in his bowl with so many people around to look after him!!
