Friday awards

Sorry this one is just posted now... From a few weeks ago.

Well done Daniella for making amazing symmetrical designs and April for beautiful Handwriting.

In class, we have been learning about Braille as a means of reading and communicating for a vision impaired person. We read an amazing book about colours that is written in braille.

Today we were writing our names in braille by drawing dots on the page.
We have discussed public places where you can find signs with braille written on them.

What signs have you seen in braille?

A snapshot of Daily 5 in 2BV

2BV have been loving Daily 5 this week. We are now up to all five choices! The students are continuing to build stamina each day as they become independent readers and writers.

Read to someone and read to self.

Word work.

Listen to reading and work on writing.

Our Artistic Journey around the World

In Visual Arts, we have been imagining that we are travelling around the world exploring artistic styles of different countries. With passports in hand, we have experienced Aboriginal dot paintings in snakes, Indonesian Batik Birds and Japanese Cherry Blossom inspired fans. Which country could we travel to next? What artistic style could we explore?
