PIP (Personal Interest Project)
Home Reading - Students are encouraged to practise reading each day, using the readers that can be exchanged on Tuesdays and Thursdays or other reading materials that are a 'good fit'.
Sight word books - These will come home each week (Mondays) with 10 words to be practised. This is an individualised program that is developing the range of words they can recognise quickly without sounding out. Students will continue to the next list when they can read all 10 words.
Mathletics - Each week new Math tasks will be assigned on Mathletics. They will focus mostly on what has been recently focussed on in class. Students will also compete some of these allocated tasks during Maths lessons.

Thank goodness for technology!! Seems I "misplaced" the PIP note and didn't have the finer details!! After tearing the house apart, Angus told me that everything is on the class blog page! What a fantastic idea and thank you for having all this information in one place and so easily accessible!!! Legendary idea!!
ReplyDeleteHi Angus' mum, We're glad you are finding the blog helpful and finding information easy to access.
